Data Stethoscope Application

This is a project I worked on with Make or Break Games and the University of Texas at Dallas. Researchers there had brain data obtained from fMRI scans that we at Make or Break Games loaded into Unity and then created visualizations for so the data can be viewed in 3D and in an application. That data was then sonified by UTD's team to see what new discoveries could be found out about the human brain. My role in this project was to create the models, materials, particles and the overall look of the visualization along with helping out with some of the UI implementation.

Just Tactics

This is an image from a PC game called Just Tactics. Objects in this scene that I created include the buildings, the rock formations, the plants, character textures and ground textures. Everything was designed using Maya and Photoshop. Objects were modeled using Maya. Textures were created using Mudbox and Photoshop. Just Tactics uses the jMonkey Engine.

Just Tactics

This is an image from a PC game called Just Tactics. The ground map uses a compilation of 6 different textures which were combined in game using 2 splat maps which were painted in Photoshop. Each channel of the splat map, RGB, corresponds to a different texture.

Just Tactics

Just Tactics allows the player to zoom out to view the entire map or game board while also allowing the player to zoom in closely to a specific area of the map. Due to this ability, models and textures needed to be designed to work at multiple zoom levels. Lighting was rendered in Maya in three separate passes: an ambient occlusion pass, a directional light pass, and a vertical depth pass. The three lighting passes were then composited in Photoshop and added to the diffuse texture for each model.
